Tell Me Your Story

We all have had our own ideas about growing older. Some good and some not so good. I know I have, and that’s really what my blog is about. All the different experiences that I’ve faced, or have had, etc.  Those that I have not yet experienced.  And even the ones I don’t even know exist!

Growing older can be a trip! I try to make the best of it. I mean what else can we do. Can’t make the clock go backward. It’s inevitable, so I may as well enjoy it! It’s better than being miserable about it. Right?

We All Have a Story

Like I mentioned above, my blog is about experiences that I have had. Or, I am still having. Things that I hope, might be interesting, funny, or informative to my readers, like you.  And most will be good. I’d rather focus on the good. But I can not promise all articles will be positive. I am sure I’ll share a few not so positive articles.  With all that being said, this brings me to the word share.

Share

I’d love for you to share your experiences. Tell me what you have gone through. Let me know how you are feeling. What you’re thinking! Share information that you have run across, or experienced yourself. Tell me where you’ve been. Where are you going? Or where would you like to go? What are your dreams? What are your fears, joys, or concerns? What plans do you have? Let it all out. I want to hear all about YOU!

I’m probably coming across as a nosey, pushy woman. That is not my intention. I’m just excited about this idea. And I think it would be incredible. Just think, I could hear from people all over the world!!! And then share their stories, right here, with you. How cool would that be??

I Even May Publish Your Story

If you have something that you would like to tell us, share with us, please do so. I would be very interested in what you have to say. I even may publish it here, with your permission of course.  With us all. =

As long as it’s regarding the subject related content of my blog, I would love to know.  Keeping it upbeat and informative, usually captivates the reader.

This Idea

This morning, my husband asked if he could write something for my blog. At first, I was confused. Then he explained it to me. The example that he used was, writing a piece about his experience with his own aging/changing body. And BAM–the idea for this article happened.  I like it!!

Then I was like, why does it have to be only about my husband, sharing about his experiences?? Why not ask EVERYONE that visits my blog? Of course, that is if you would want to share with everyone? What are your thoughts, your opinions, your hardships, your information? I mean whatever you have, SHARE IT WITH US!

What Is Your Story??

Like I said, I may even publish your story here, on my blog. Your article, right here, in print, with your personal story. That would be so interesting!  If you state for me to not publish your story, please trust that I won’t. I would never do that to you.

So please, when sharing your story with me, be sure to include that you wish, or don’ not wish for me to publish your story. If you do not do state this, sadly, I will not publish your story. Please be sure to state this in your story.

IMPORTANT:  Please read, before emailing me.

Tell me your story

  • PLEASE  try your best to keep your story positive. I really would appreciate that.  That is what I am trying to strive for with my blog –POSITIVE.  Or even funny.
  • DO try to keep your story under 1200 words, please. Too long a story tends to get overlooked, and not read. And I don’t want that happening to your article.  I want people to read what you have to say.

With that being said, you can email me your story here:

I can not wait to hear from you!! This is going to be awesome!! 🙂

  1. Hi Laura, I just have to say I absolutely love this post, and the energy you bring to it. The fact that there is someone out there that wants to share their stories, but to also get other peoples stories is awesome.

As a 25 year old, i don’t believe there is much I could share that you haven’t already gone through yourself. Though in the spirit of sharing, one change I have noticed in my short life as an adult, is the allergy for gluten popped up. I never have been allergic to anything my whole life, but around 20 I started to get these dry spots everywhere and no matter what I did they wouldn’t go away!
Until my father figured out that his “dog & cat” allergies was actually a gluten allergy. The first thing I did when he told me that, was cut out any and all breads and such from my diet, and would you believe, my skin was clear after a few weeks. This was 4 years after the initial break out too. So just about this time last year I figured it out. Naturally for those 4 years I was worried I was allergic to my pets, but refused to find out, because that would make it more true some how. Thankfully that wasn’t the case… for now! my Mom developed an allergy to cats in her 40’s, so there is still time for that too!

Thank you for being open to sharing and sharing your stories. I think it is a wonderful Idea and hope you get more stories from other soon.

    sincerely, McKenzie

    • Hi McKenzie,

I’m so sorry you had to go through that for so long. I can’t imagine having to get rid of my dog. I’m so glad you didn’t have to get rid of your pets. And I’m happy you were able to get answers. Sometimes not knowing, or at least for me, can be worse. Makes me think crazy things.

I’m glad that you like my site. I can’t wait to receive stories!

Thank you for stopping by and Keep checking in for those stories!!
